SALINE, MI — Customers shopping at Saline’s Tractor Supply Co. can expect some new features the next time they stop in.

The store at 111 Sage Court recently underwent a remodel and added new features, including a garden center, a redesigned store layout and in-store technology upgrades.

The new garden center is filled with an assortment of lawn and garden products including annuals, perennials, shrubs, decorative accent plants, fruit trees, herbs and vegetables.

National chain Tractor Supply opening Kalispell location


National retail chain Tractor Supply Co. plans to open a store here in the former Kmart building.

The company, which calls itself the largest lifestyle retailer in the U.S. and was founded in 1938, sells products for home improvement, agriculture, lawn and garden, livestock, equine and pet care.

The new store is set to hold its grand opening celebration from Sept. 21 to Sept. 24, according to a release from the company. A sign on the building shows the store is hiring for positions.

“Homeowners, livestock and pet owners, gardeners, hobby farmers, ranchers, tradesmen

and others rely on Tractor Supply for a wide assortment of products,” the company said in a release. “We’re excited to call Kalispell home and serve the community with the essentials you need to live life on your own terms.”

Tractor Supply expects to provide 15 jobs, with at least half of those as full-time positions,

Tractor Supply store coming to Turner

A new Tractor Supply store is planned at 1600 Auburn Road in Turner, once permits are secured with state and local officials. The matter has yet to go before the Planning Board.

The description provided by developer Primax Properties of Charlotte, North Carolina, indicates the store would be 21,930 square feet, with a 19,870 square foot fenced, outdoor display area with a 3,672 square foot garden center, which is slightly bigger than the typical Tractor Supply Store, according to its latest annual report.

An official with Primax Properties said they would like to be open by the end of the year. A public comment period is open during the application process and anyone can request a public hearing in writing. Requests must be made within 20 days after the application has been accepted by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection.

Farm supply chain to open 5th store in Charleston area

SUMMERVILLE — A farm supply chain soon will plow new ground in the Charleston area.

Tractor Supply Co. plans to build a 22,000-square-foot store on 7.25 acres on Dorchester Road between Shady Lane and Stack’s Nursery.


New commercial venture slated to bring 500 jobs to Berkeley County mega-development

The new store will be the Tennessee-based company’s fifth location in the Lowcountry. Others are in Awendaw, Moncks Corner, Ravenel and near Nexton in Berkeley County.

Farmer & Associates of Aiken paid $1.19 million for the wooded parcels in Dorchester County, according to buyer’s representative Will Sherrod of the commercial real estate firm NAI Charleston. The land was previously owned by Old Fort Baptist Church and Oakbrook Community Church. They were each paid $595,000 for the property.
