Perino's Home & Garden Center

Our grandfather, Salvador “Sam” Perino, established Perino’s Nursery in 1949, after proudly serving as a Naval Aviator in WWII.

After the war, Sam and his loving wife Magdalene Perino started a 24-hour grocery and produce market in New Orleans on the corner of Carrollton and Claiborne. The market sold cut flowers for special occasions and served sliced watermelon during the summer months. He eventually introduced camellias and azaleas into the mix, which led to the launch of Perino’s Nursery. In 1955, Sam took a leap of faith and moved his business to Veterans Memorial Blvd, which at the time was just a dirt road.

New garden center among recent upgrades at Saline’s Tractor Supply Co. store

SALINE, MI — Customers shopping at Saline’s Tractor Supply Co. can expect some new features the next time they stop in.

The store at 111 Sage Court recently underwent a remodel and added new features, including a garden center, a redesigned store layout and in-store technology upgrades.

The new garden center is filled with an assortment of lawn and garden products including annuals, perennials, shrubs, decorative accent plants, fruit trees, herbs and vegetables.

“We are excited for customers to visit our new space, especially the garden center that offers more products than ever before,” Rachel Aughton, manager of the Saline Tractor Supply store manager, said in a statement. “Whether you’re a first time-gardener or a professional, the garden center has all your gardening and landscaping needs.”

Home improvement retailer delivers extra-large store

MOST people who step into the newly opened MR DIY Plus in Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur, will be in awe of the massive, brightly lit space and extensive variety of products available.

Located on the mall’s third floor, this latest addition to home improvement retailer MR DIY Group spans 30,000sq ft across two floors.

Up to 20,000 products are featured in categories that include hardware, household and furnishing, electrical, stationery and sports equipment, toys, car accessories, fashion, beauty, health and personal care as well as food and beverage.

It is no wonder that the store has received more than 200,000 visitors since opening its doors on May 19.
